SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION

Scarecrows can be placed on Main Street and in the Alachua Town Centre. Members who wish to have a pole in the Alachua Town Centre Area will be included in the judging for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. 1st place will win the $500 grand prize. The guidelines below will apply to these poles. Please let us know if you want a pole in this area because poles in this area are limited.

October 1st - Kickoff Hero Party - October 13th at 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Applications and fees must be received. (Corporate and Small Business Sponsors applications must be received by Monday September 28th to ensure names will be on the posters.) 

October 1st -  October 11th - Decorate assigned pole.  

October 24th -25th Judging for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place is scheduled for the morning.  

October 28th - Winners will be announced at 7:30 p.m. in front of the Alachua Chamber Parking Lot.

Monday November 2nd - All Scarecrows must be removed by 8 p.m.  


SCARECROW ROW GUIDELINES
Scarecrows should be decorated in keeping with the Theme, "Superhero.
Signage for your Scarecrow will be provided to you by the Alachua Chamber of Commerce and will include the information YOU provided on your application form. 
You may also add a sign to your scarecrow.
Scarecrow must be secured to the pole with strapping – NO TAPE.  
Scarecrows must not encroach on the walkways or streets.
Please use weather resistant materials that are not valuable.
Please visit your Scarecrow at least once a week to freshen and repair.
Please do not use unsafe materials and/or installation techniques.
