Sportsfest Scholarship Award

The Alachua Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the availability of funds raised from our annual SportsFest event, which are dedicated to supporting youth initiatives in the City of Alachua. These funds are intended to foster environments where children can grow in body, spirit, and mind, promoting education, development, and positive leadership.

We invite non-profits, community organizations, and other groups serving the youth of Alachua to submit a request for funding to support projects that align with these goals. All funds must be used for initiatives that benefit children's education and development, helping to shape the future leaders of our community by promoting teamwork, leadership, and positive pathways.

Eligibility and Purpose:

Organizations and projects must meet the following criteria to be considered for funding:

 Directly impact the youth of Alachua, in Alachua, by enhancing their educational, physical, emotional, or spiritual development.

 Promote community, leadership, and teamwork.

 Support initiatives that inspire positive growth in children, encouraging healthy, engaged, and thriving young individuals. These initiatives can be for youth programs or capital improvements in Alachua.

Key Dates:

 Open Submission Period: November 1, 2024, through November 30, 2024.

 Submission Deadline: All requests must be received by 5:00 PM on November 30, 2024.

Awards will be announced January 2025.

Multiple awards may be awarded.

Extra consideration will be given to those who are able to get matching funds.
